  • Data from Russian trade unions has been included in official occupational safety and health analytics for the first time.

    The federal analytical report on occupational safety has, for the first time, utilized data from the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR). The Federal State Budgetary Institution "All-Russian Research Institute of Labour" of the Russian Ministry of Labour has published the analytical review "Occupational Safety in Figures" for 2024.

  • Viktor Pinsky: “Decent Labour Principles are Priority for CIS Trade Unions”

    The promotion of decent work principles in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was discussed by Viktor Pinsky, Russian State Duma member and General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU) Secretary-General and Kudratulla Rafikov, Senator of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan. The meeting took place on October 30 in Tashkent.

  • Viktor Pinsky on Occupational Safety and Health: “A Priority of National Importance”

    Viktor Pinsky, Russian State Duma member and Secretary-General of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU) emphasized that Occupational safety and health must remain high on the agenda for social partners in every country. This is a principle upheld by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and national trade union centres across the globe. The statement was made during a meeting of the GCTU Commission on Occupational Safety, Environment, Health, and Social Protection of Workers. The session was held on October 29 and brought together representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as members of international trade union organizations.
