Pensions and Social Benefits to Be Indexed in Kazakhstan in 2026
Substantial expenditures for pensions and social benefit payments have been allocated in Kazakhstan’s state budget for 2026. A total of 6.8 trillion tenge is to be directed toward the indexation of pensions and social benefits.
Starting January 1, 2026, the government plans to index pension and benefit payments by 10.5%. The measure will affect more than 2.6 million pensioners and approximately 2.3 million benefit recipients.
Compared to 2025, expenditures for payments will increase by 14.4%, or 860.5 billion tenge. Of this amount, 622.6 billion tenge will be allocated specifically for indexation, while 237.9 billion tenge has been earmarked to cover the increase in the number of recipients.
