Joint Statement in Defense of Historical Truth about the Great Victory Adopted by the Secretaries-General of the CSTO, CIS, and SCO

An objective reflection of the historical truth about the war is an essential condition for preventing the recurrence of such tragedies and for strengthening international peace. This was affirmed in a joint statement adopted by the Secretaries-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The statement strongly condemns any attempts to distort the significance of the Great Victory in the Second World War.It underscores the unacceptability of efforts to rehabilitate the ideas of Nazism and racial superiority, to justify genocide and other crimes against civilians, as well as to promote radical extremist ideologies.

  • President of Russia Vladimir Putin Presents the Order of Honour to Viktor Pinsky

    Viktor Pinsky, a member of the Russian State Duma and General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU), has been awarded the Order of Honour. The award was presented by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.

    "My sincere congratulations! I am glad that your work has been duly recognised by the country's leadership," Vladimir Putin said as he presented the award to Viktor Pinsky.

    The ceremony took place today in the St George's Hall of the Kremlin in Moscow.
