Viktor Pinsky: “Main Trade Union Principles – Solidarity and Unity – Help Look Confidently into the Future”
Viktor Pinsky, Secretary General of the GCTU, congratulated the heads of GCTU’s affiliated organizations, trade union activists and trade union members on New Year 2026.
“Our joint work on the promotion of the principles of decent work and social justice brings results and finds kind responses in the hearts of people in CIS countries and around the world. The main trade union principles – Solidarity and Unity – help look confidently into the future and be ready for new achievements,” the congratulatory message says.
The Secretary General of the GCTU wished trade union members, professional leaders and activists good health, good spirits and welfare:
“May the year 2026 bring you new strength, energy and inspiration. I wish you to achieve all your goals!”, Viktor Pinsky said in his congratulatory message.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin Presents the Order of Honour to Viktor Pinsky
Viktor Pinsky, a member of the Russian State Duma and General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU), has been awarded the Order of Honour. The award was presented by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
"My sincere congratulations! I am glad that your work has been duly recognised by the country's leadership," Vladimir Putin said as he presented the award to Viktor Pinsky.
The ceremony took place today in the St George's Hall of the Kremlin in Moscow.
