Профсоюзы Узбекистана открыли Шахматную школу
Торжественное открытие Шахматной школы при Федерации профсоюзов Узбекистана прошло в Академии труда и социальных отношений, сообщает официальный сайт национального профцентра.
На церемонии открытии были отмечены международные успехи узбекских шахматистов в этом виде спорта. Так, в прошлом году сборная Узбекистана заняла 13-е место среди 203 стран в рейтинге Международной шахматной федерации (FIDE), а число международных гроссмейстеров в стране достигло 30 человек.
В Федерации профсоюзов Узбекистана считают важным массовую популяризацию шахмат, поддержку молодых дарований и развитие их искусства. Профсоюзы планируют создание шахматных клубов в трудовых коллективах по всей стране и намерены проводить соревнования между предприятиями, организациями и учреждениями на районном, региональном и республиканском уровнях.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin Presents the Order of Honour to Viktor Pinsky
Viktor Pinsky, a member of the Russian State Duma and General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU), has been awarded the Order of Honour. The award was presented by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
"My sincere congratulations! I am glad that your work has been duly recognised by the country's leadership," Vladimir Putin said as he presented the award to Viktor Pinsky.
The ceremony took place today in the St George's Hall of the Kremlin in Moscow.
